What was the building to the left of the column? Was that part of city hall?

Thanks.

That is the old Post Office, which has since been torn down and is part of City Hall Park.

I really appreciate the presentation and detailed art and information on your site, not to mention the scope of coverage from travel, to arts, to politics and history. Keep up the excellent work.
