Ah! La chasse galerie an old and classical canadien legend with many versions. Like many other nations we have suffered ‘cultural washing’ to fit the view of powerfull ‘elites’. Fortunatly more and more of our peoples awake and work hard to preserve our traditional culture (music, tail, legendes, artisanat (craft?) like ceintures flêchées and capot, etc.). We still not enough but it better than it was. The bunch of nuts of the 1950-1960-1970 did theirs best to destroy our culture and ‘occidentalize’ canadien peoples. Our culture was not good enough for those nuts. This so called intellectual elits have done great damage to our culture and identity. They leaved british north america stealling our identity (Canadien) they allowed them to steal our traditional symbols (mapple leaf used some beleave since new-france) and to steal our national enthem (O Canada). Worts than that they just gived up on everything, and created ex nihilo a pseudo-identity ‘québécois’ who was formerly disigned only the poelple living in Quebec city. Doing so they created a schyzophrenic posture with our history. Our ancestral house is called Maisson canadienne, our cattle is la vache canadienne (canadien cattle),our horses is chaval canadien (canadien horse), our traditional kitchen is know as cuisine canadienne, etc, etc. Shame on them! If nationalist was serious they will not saying vive le quebec libre but vive le canada libre! This province has been renamed Province de Canada by the Assemblée nationale.

Btw, I had great plesure to read your blog.
