Both systems of thought descend from the philosophy of Hegel, which basically stated that there is no independent personal identity outside of the community to which someone belongs. Now people can't be so easily categorized, and so the fascists strove for racial purity - and marxists strive for authenticity. According to the author linked, the Coloreds are no doubt 'inauthentic' and therefore must be encouraged - or forced - to conform to their 'community'. Hegelianism is a heresy, but this very heresy greatly influenced the congregational emphasis found today in the Church.
