More or less, the musings of a graduate of a Scottish university, born in New York, formerly resident in South Africa, and now living in London.
@cusackandrew: Visited Erskine Childers' old regiment in London tonight. His name on the Boer War roll of honour was pointed out with ironic pride.

A real pity that the upcoming film on the July ’44 plot has the Scientology cultist Tom Cruise playing the role of Stauffenberg. There has been, understandably, much disgust and outrage about this in Germany. Scientology is not, justifiably, recognized as a “religion” in Germany. Germany had a previous terrible experience with another religious cult called Nazism, which you may have heard of . . .

Abraços do Brasil!!
